What The Hell???? Am I the only one left who doesn't have an alter ego? In the last few months I have read so many books published under pseudonyms it makes me question society as a whole. Does everyone have a multiple personality disorder? Was there a memo I missed that stated alias' were the requirement? At first I thought it was a fad, not even bothering to worry about it because let's face it they last about as long as a box of condoms in Jenna Jamison's house. But now I'm beginning to question the longevity of this new trend. Oh and it is a trend, Sean Combs, no wait - Puff Daddy, I mean P. Diddy said it was and we all know his word is law. Right?

Okay, so actors change their names to sound more appealing. I can deal with that. Singers shorten their names so they can stand out in people's minds. It's all right, I can live with that as well. But it's gone too far now and I'm sorry, but it must end. People are taking advantage of the leeway given and are now producing not one but three different personas. Knock it off!! When I look up an author and I get fifty books, which are then divided and placed according to their alternated personalities, it nauseates to the point of vomiting.

Is it that they're testing their audience? Do you want to know how much we love you, really love you? I'll cut to the chase and tell you right now - not enough to investigate and then chase down every single pen name you have. That would require the patience and devotions only Gods get. When was the last time you parted the red sea? Provided a paradise that consisted of seventy virgins? Promised elevation, energy and knowledge? Yeah, I didn't think so.

So in conclusion I ask, nay beg, you all to drop the mask and write with balls-to-the-wall courage and take your lumps. You'll get far more respect, a lot more attention, and whenever you question your readers' loyalty - just cash that big, fatty check and get over it already!
