I can remember buying the first Wizardry RPG on the old 5.25 inch floppy. Jeese ya had to be careful with those. I blew (
) on the exposed part of the disk to remove some dust. It never played again. Only had one crack at it.
Was one of the fastest 45 bucks I spent.
The next was with Lord British's Ultima I. I played it through. Took me forever. I finished the damn thing. The reward at the end? Three green blinking lights. Bee-Boop-Bee-Boop-Bee-Boop.
Oh ya. Bought a sci-fi space station game for the Amiga. Heh heh Even had the 512K upgrade. ooooo-aaaaahhh. One was to land on the station and look for the bad guy and exterminate him but one had to get through a maze while eliminating all his cronies. Rocket science, right? I have no idea how I did it but I had the end boss done in, in less than a half hour. I stumbled upon him in the maze after a couple of dozen turns.
Anyone else been stung?
