HOLY CRAP... The Mist problem |
Lead | |
|
I bought The Mist when it was released on DVD. I had not gotten around to watching it though as I have been crazy lately and I did see it in the theater. I
popped open the case and the discs are missing. Both of them. WTF? Apparently I got screwed. Need to go back to Best Buy and see if they will make this right.
Although I somehow doubt they will because it was 2 weeks ago I bought it. This pisses me off just a tad bit.

Very odd. Does Best Buy put those little antitheft thingies in the cases? I know some places do that with games or dvds and then seal them up again. Perhaps
they forget to put the movies back in the case and took them home instead?

Does seem odd. Not saying it didn't happen, just a pain in the arse it did. You'll NEVER convince them to replace them at least not in the location
here. I was in there yesterday looking for a home theatre sound addition to the living room and needed a couple of questions answered before I made a decision.
I wandered around for 15 minutes looking for a clerk that was free. I was going to leave when I spotted two talking with each other. I waited patiently for
them to end before I interrupted. I was rewarded for my politeness with two over the shoulder glances resulting in both of them turning their backs to me and
walking away.
I was headed out the door vowing to never go back, a vow I would have kept, when another clerk asked if he could help...I told him what happened. He helped, answered my queries, and profusely apologized. I thanked him and told him he saved the store a client. I have his name and when I go back for any purchases I will ask for him specifically. Sorry, got into a rant there. Tk |

They do have the anti theft things, but I believe they come with those already inside. They were surprisingly willing and nice about exchanging it for one
with actual DVDs inside. Which was good, because I was ready for a fight if they said no. I buy a TON of DVDs and stuff from Best Buy. The least they can do in
return is make good on something like this.

That's nice of 'em. Dvds cost what, about 90 cents? So it's in their best interest to keep a customer happy. As for TK's customer service
issue, that's a whole separate topic we could do in offtopic. With the labour shortage and the crappy attitudes out here, I have a lot to say about it.
