I stumbled across this video in a most unusual manner while looking for an image on google. The video is called "Hello Francesca" or "Hi,
Francesca." The total run time on it is 19:43 (although it says an episode is 50 minutes long.). Apparently they made quite a few episodes. 52 according
to the link here. The link to it is: http://content.mbc.co.kr/english/drama/05/1670616_25447.html
I imagine that you want me to explain a little about the video. A small family of vampires has arrived in Japan while attempting to find a safe haven after
their master in Romania ordered all vampires to scatter. As vampires go, they are very peculiar and weak. The normal powers we all "know" about
vampires have been thrown out the window. These vampires have no aversion to sunlight, can emit some sort of beams from their eyes, experience mild discomfort
with a cross and like garlic with their steaks. But they do still bite and cause people to turn into vampires and live forever.
The idea of this show instantly reminded me of the old Dark Shadows soap opera. The biggest problem though is they treat it as a joke. There is canned laughter and oohs and aahs dubbed in at horribly inopportune moments. After watching the first few minutes I was eager to see not just this episode but to find more of them. Then the inappropriate added sounds began and I could no longer tell if this was meant to be serious or a spoof. I wish there was a version of it without the added sound, because it looked like it could be a promising show. Go and download it and check it out. And I will likely still go looking for a few more episodes.
Oh yeah, the other videos available on that site all appear to be dramatic shows dealing with love and relationships.
