They just released a movie based off of the Jack Ketchum story called THE LOST. I don't want to give it away but it was really good. You should check it

I watched the movie a couple years ago at a convention. I had NOT read the book so knew nothing of the story. Sadly (to me) the movie sucked, and honestly has
kept me away from even giving the book a try. But just my opinion.

ditto. king and ketchum are not comparable. ketchum gets in your face and smears the blood directly on you. king stands back and shows you the horrors in a far
more subtle and often shrouded way.

Yeah, I agree. King sometimes has a bit of a twist to his writing, and isn't as in your face. Ketchum is more of a smack you in the forehead with a hammer
kind-of guy.
