I shed guy tears, which are far more masculine and if called upon can kick ass and take names, call lightning from the sky to smite my enemies, and make a mean pie. And yes, I do have that damn hairdryer hostage. It too cries guy tears for fear of its life. Each and every night I hold it over a bathtub full of water and yell at it "She left you behind because she hates you! She's replaced you with a Conair! You hear me?! A Conair!" I was scheduled to do a reading (had a great spot too, with Mike Laimo), and I had it on good authority that I was gonna be added as a Guest in the next few days . . . But then, on a whim, I suddenly cancelled all that about 3 weeks ago. Call me crazy, but I've decided that I'm not gonna do this con as a "business" or "promotional" thing. Hell, it's not like I have a whole lot out there anyway to promote (especially since I wouldn't have had copies of MIDNIGHT RAIN to take with me to Horrorfind, as the initial print run is sold out from Leisure and there most likely won't be a 2nd printing). This time, I decided, I'm just gonna throw caution to the wind . . . gonna let down my hair, do the nerdy fanboy thing and just have FUN with my family. Can't wait!
