Watched Ottawa battle back from a 3 goal deficit only to lose when the filthy Penguins scored on a power play. Looks like I'm going to have to cheer for
Calgary or Montreal....yecchhhh.

Sorry. Gave up on the NHL after Philly joined. Thought it too much like wrestling with no rules. I have been busy staying current with both the Jones and
Martin rinks. Cool beans. Martin now goes to the Gold final against Scotland tomorrow (Sunday) for the World Championships. Woo Hoo.

Why do you not have hockey on the telly? I feel for ya. I won't be seeing another CFL game anytime soon, as CBC gave up their broadcast rights. CTV bought
in but will only air them on TSN and one has to have cable or a dish for that. So this summer will be my first football season without the CFL in 44 years.

network punishment for the strike. ever since then it hasn't been on regularly. the 'versus' channel [used to be the 'outdoor' channel]
picked it up, but we only get regular season here when they don't deem something else more important [yeah, cuz i care about horse racing or golf or turkey
hunting?] if i'm lucky, i can find it on some local broadcast or PBS-style channel because either minnesota or michigan [either side of me] is playing. but
unless they're playing my Flames, i don't care about either of them... bastards!!
now the playoffs are scheduled to be on versus [and cbc and some other channel i don't have], they're right there on the lineup, but this over-ridding with other crap thing is enough to make a person wanna beat execs... and pre-strike schedule would have shown all the games, now they pick and choose. i'm sure, if anything, instead of the Flames tomorrow, i'll get to watch the freaking Wild... we'll see. if i get to watch my flames kick some sorry shark ass tomorrow, i may have a better attitude, but i'm still ticked about the airing issues we've had here with hockey. |

bastards!!! see... see what i mean?! we watched the red wings [hahahahahaha] and POOF, 'versus blackout' and it reverted to wrestling or some shit
instead of the Wild game. damn... and i was all ready to watch them both [MI & MN] lose tonight! arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Well, we got to see our team (Ottawa) lose tonight. Hard to win, mind you, when the opposing team has two extra guys on the ice all night, namely the goofs in
the black and white stripes. Haven't watched the NHL for a couple seasons (last year was the first one back) but the officiating is just as horrible now as
when I used to cheer for the Maple Leafs. Makes me wonder sometimes if the fix is in?

I don't mind the Flames, they have a lot of heart. Love those Red Mile girls. :)
We cheered for Toronto for years, but after decades of sucking, choking, and not making the playoffs in forever, it was time for a change. The sens impressed us last year with their run for the cup, even though they got clobbered in the final series. Add to that their impressive amount of charity work, and one of the star alumni of our local team playing for them, we thought we'd cheer for them for a change.

Yes but it's not on my regular channels with my regular programming :P It's the SPORTS channel where the SPORTS belong :D Was it not made specifically
for SPORTS??? I hate basketball in particular because it never EVER seems to end!
